Justice for incarcerated women day of action
April 16
2 p.m.
Oregon State Capitol
Join us alongside women formerly incarcerated at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, community members, advocates, and allies for a rally to support justice for women in prison. We’ll gather at the Capitol to demand far-reaching changes to poor treatment of incarcerated people and advocate for dignity, wellbeing, health, and rehabilitation.
Following the rally, many of us will head inside the building to watch a hearing where legislators will quiz the Oregon Department of Corrections. ODOC will be asked about its response to an independent review that found numerous problems with how women are treated in prison.
Wear purple to show your support for women in prison.
