Malori Maloney | Fair Law Project | Associate Director
Malori was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Her work and activism has focused on advocating on behalf of those most disproportionately harmed by the criminal legal system and resisting state violence in all forms. Prior to joining the FA:IR Law Project, Malori worked at Metropolitan Public Defender, where she represented Oregonians accused of Measure 11 offenses. While attending the City University of New York School of Law, she interned for the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, the California Appellate Project, and Brooklyn Defender Services. After graduation, she worked at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. Her experiences working with incarcerated people fomented a passion for prison abolition and a deep belief in the right to self-determination for all people.
