We're excited to announce that on September 14th we'll be bringing journalist and activist Shaun King to Portland for a benefit to support our work.

Shaun has become recognized nationally for his advocacy for civil rights causes including the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

He is the New York Daily News' Senior Justice Writer as well as a commentator for The Young Turks, a web-based news and comment show.

Shaun has developed a substantial following on social media, helping to lead conversations around social justice, race and human dignity. Follow him @ShaunKing to learn more.

Shaun's contribution to the conversation around race and justice makes him the ideal special guest for our benefit.

The event will take place at the University of Oregon's White Stag Block in Old Town, Portland. We'll bring you more information very soon, including details of where you can buy tickets.
