The Oregon Justice Resource Center respects the inherent dignity and humanity of all persons, regardless of immigration status. The U.S. Constitution guarantees civil liberties and due process rights to all persons. The OJRC works to ensure that the civil liberties and due process rights of noncitizens are respected and enforced to their fullest extent. The OJRC participates in strategic and impact litigation, engages in community outreach, and facilitates law students’ pro bono assistance to nonprofit immigration legal service providers.
The Goals of the OJRC are to:
- Provide legal support to noncitizens, community organizations and immigration legal advocates.
- Promote the research, education and discussion of issues relating to the advancement of immigrant rights in Oregon.
