Cicely Thrasher | Intake Coordinator and Legal Assistant, Immigrant Rights Project

Cicely Thrasher was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She began her career working at TriMet, partnering with businesses to increase public transit ridership through employer-provided transit subsidies. Next, she spent many years in nonprofit work where she assisted people with disabilities in finding meaningful employment while maintaining critical financial and medical benefits. Cicely then made a big move to New York City where she worked in the corporate world and spent nearly a decade in e-commerce, product marketing and brand management for several different global companies.

While taking time out of her career to raise her family, Cicely moved to Boston, followed by Vancouver, British Columbia, before returning home to Portland. Outside of work, she volunteers her time for gun violence prevention and criminal justice reform, two causes close to her heart.
